RTW bill back on tap in Legislature

Gary Rayno -- State House Bureau, New Hampshire Union Leader newspaper -- reports:

"CONCORD - Passing right-to-work legislation will help spur the state's economy and set the state apart in the Northeast, supporters of the bill said at a hearing Tuesday..."

One of the most noteworthy parts of the article came at the end, where former State Rep. David Welch described his experience:

1. Promising the voters he would support Right to Work when first running

2. Deciding to vote against Right to Work once he was elected

3. Being retired by his constituents at their first opportunity.

Although Welch seemed mystified that his constituents expected honest representation from their representative, he nevertheless summed it up succinctly:

"I lost my election because of this issue," Welch said.
