American Voters Overwhelmingly Support RTW: 87 to 8
SurveyUSA, a pollster independently given an A-rating by Nate Silver of FiveThirtyEight fame, found that a massive 87% of American voters agree that "Workers should never be forced, or coerced, to join a union or pay dues to a union as a condition of employment" -- the premise of Right to Work laws.
In fact, the poll even found that a majority of American voters -- 51% -- "Strongly Agree" with Right to Work.
The same poll of registered voters found that Right to Work was supported by:
88% of voters in the Northeast
88% of registered Independents
89% of self-identified "Moderates"
85% of current union members
Notably, a majority of every demographic analyzed -- based on gender, age, employment status, party affiliation, race, ideology, union affiliation, education, income, home ownership, urbanicity, and more -- supported Right to Work.
